College of Veterinary Medicine
Growing up, I wanted to be a vet.
Then I found out being a vet requires math.
After finding my path in advertising, I was keen on finding an opportunity that would merge my love for animals with my passion for advertising. The College of Veterinary Medicine at Illinois provides me with the opportunity to do this through their marketing and communications internship. I do everything from research and creative to social media and public relations writing in this position.

On my day-to-day, I write copy for and create content across 3 social channels (Vet Med at Illinois, Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and Medical District Vet Clinic in Chicago) to a combined following of 27.7K.
The typical content I post are of pets (dream job, right?), wildlife species, and updates on staff, faculty, alum, and student news.

Beyond social, I've contributed to print materials for the Wildlife Medical Clinic including creating an annual calendar and greeting cards.

Creation and design of annual Wildlife Medical Clinic calendar (proceeds go 100% to the upkeep of the clinic, literally saving lives of wildlife patients)

Creation and design of Wildlife Medical Clinic greeting cards (artwork by the ambassador animals, copy and design by MarComm team and I)

Provide feedback and guidance on Veterinary Medicine website redesign

Conduct secondary research (competitive analysis for other Veterinary Medicine programs across the nation, avenues for reaching international students)
